We Believe.

How was your Easter? If you follow my Instagram {{link below}}, you know I ended up on the beach after attending 8 AM. Service was good. Bishop said something on Good Friday that has resonated with me. He said, without the cross we wouldn't have Christmas, one of our most celebrated holidays. The truth is Christ wasn't born so we could celebrate His birthday but he came to die. That was his misson and it was completed! Amen.

Michael W. Smith has a song titled "Above All" that is so moving and humbling. The chorus:
Crucified
Laid behind the stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

When I consider the meaning behind these words, I can't help but feel so blessed to have accepted the gift of salvation. I believe that Christ died on a cross and arose three days later. No man will ever display that kind of love for me and my son.

Our choir sings a celebratory song  by Eddie James titled "He's Alive". When they get to the chorus, the congregation turns up because we do believe He's alive.

He rose
In Glory
With all power
And authority
He conquered
My enemies
And He put them
Under my feet

If you haven't accepted this free gift TODAY is a good day. He will change your entire life. #guaranteed

As for me and my house, we believe in God the Father. We believe in Jesus Christ. We believe in the Holy Spirit. He has given us new life.  WE BELIEVE! And for that we rejoice on Easter Sunday and all the days in between.

1 Corinthians 1:18New International Version (NIV)

Christ Crucified Is God’s Power and Wisdom

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
