Hope you are having a terrific Thursday. I missed yesterday's post because I was busy doing two things applying for jobs and I'm taking the HIV/AIDS 500 and 501 course offered through the county's health department for a grassroots organization launching soon to address women and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Stay tuned for a blog post. In the meantime visit wemakethechange.org to get more information. The component I will be helping to launch is called Sisters Organizing to Survive.
I wanted to be cute even though I was sitting in a conference room all day. My summer is about to end and one thing I won't miss is not getting dressed. I love dressing up! I found these Wrangler high waisted jeans at Goodwill. The first time I saw them they were $8 but I knew Tuesdays was student discount day.
So what did I do? I hid them in the store, hoping they would be there the next day. Sadly, they were not. The clerks do a sweep and put everything back out on the floor. But what I did as a second safety measure was roll up one of the pant legs so I could find them. #Ireallywantedthesejeans I woke my son up early the next morning, told him to grab his student ID and raced to my local Goodwill.. And I'm happy I did!
Am I the only one who will do the most to snag a thrifted treasure?
It's almost the weekend. What do you have planned?
