Not So Perfect

I check my photos on the camera after the man child snaps them and yes I noticed that my sleeve was pushed up on the left side but I was too darn lazy to ask him to retake the photos. So just imagine this look being as dainty as a thrifted skirt and peplum top can be for Sunday morning worship with a Ceclie updo by me.

Two of my workers told me what a shame it was that God gave me a thick head of hair and I can’t style it. And you know what? I agree totally. I’m so blessed but I am clueless with bobby pins. They laughed because all the pins were sticking out everywhere so she repinned Karrie for me. I’m starting to get the hang of protective styling but after a few days miss pulling on my hair. #handinhairsyndrome

Anyhoooooo I’m tutoring this week after-school then off to prayer and Bible study. Y’all have a wonderful evening.

One Top Another Way: Classroom Chic

There's nothing like finding a reasonably priced piece to add to your wardrobe. I paid $10 for this top. I wasn't sure it would fit well because it's a medium but it turned out to be a good fit. This month is filled with testing days prior to winter break. I'm the person who has a phobia for wasting a good outfit at work. That doesn't mean I'll pull out flip flops and sweats but I do take it down a notch.

I remember when I first begin blogging. I spend hours reading blog after fashion blog after fashion blog. Now that I'm trying  to  making some better financial choices, I don't care about wearing the same things over and over. So imagine my excitement to post the same top back to back. Although there was a week time span in wearing the look, I wanted my readers to know that I do shop my closet.

I have a B I G trip coming up next summer so I'll be doing this more often!

One Top Two Ways: Classy Lady

Have you ever created a look that was dazzling and made you feel like you should be having tea with the rich and fabulous? That's how I felt in this Sunday look when I wore it a week ago.

In addition, my son did an excellent job capturing these photos. There are days when I am left in awe with his handling of my lil ole trusty Canon. I know how irritating I can be asking him to snap photos of me weekly with no compensation so I am sure to compliment him.

As you can see these were taken before I attempted and succeed on wearing Karrie in a twist out. This do was my first attempt at a twist and pin up. I've always been confident in whatever hair style/texture/do I wear but this past year has been theeeeeee most rewarding. I can't believe I actually disciplined myself to release the brush cut (which I find to be stunning on me & yes, I toot my own horn occasionally), grow my hair, pamper it and now I'm learning to style her. Gives self round of applause!

This week I dusted my ends. I'm going to need a real haircut soon. I colored treated my hair after I became bored with the fro which resulted  in dry, bushy ends.  If you follow me on IG, you can tell there are still a few remaining bushy ends I hope to snip away in about 4 months.

Stay tuned for more Karrie updates. I'm watching Scandal so I can be ready for the watch party on Thursday night.  See ya tomorrow for Look 2.
