Hello divamoms & divas,
I’m so glad you haven’t unsubscribed.
I have so much to update you on and will try not to do it all in one post. KT
and I haven’t taken photos for an outfit post in weeks. Don’t worry I haven’t
been struck by the uncreative bug. The timing has been my biggest hindrance. Getting
my son to photograph me before school will make me late for work. I’m one of
those people who arrive at the required
hour. After work it is too dark although I could take them in the school. Problem
with that is after teaching 5 periods and tutoring afterschool I am in no mood
to touch retouch my makeup or put my heels back on for pictures. So bear with
me on the outfits but keep coming back because I have plans to write more from the heart.
I wore this to church today. There’s
nothing amazing about the look except the tights (purchased 2 years or more ago
at Target) and my favorite & ONLY pair of Michael Kors shoes. These shoes
are dazzling. I had two people at church ask me to leave them when I left
service today. Ummmm no ma’am these were so splurge worthy.
Let me thank you all for the
encouragement on growing out my hair. I’ll be honest and say I’m not fond of
these pictures. I am not accustomed to seeing myself with hair and I look ‘funny’…I
don’t know different. I actually think I look better in person. How does the
saying go? A picture never lies. Well these do, lolol because I really look
much better face to face. For the first time in my natural journey I like my
TWA (teeny weeny afro). This transition
is much better than others I’ve had. Yeah, I’ve been natural on and off for
years with both long and short hair.
I hope you had a wonderful day in
your respective houses of worship. Nothing beats being in church to be
uplifted, encouraged and motivated to keep striving for GOD’S best life already
planned out for me. Hearing the choir sing Fred Hammond’s Living Word today was
inspiring. The song is an oldie but goodie that reminds me of why December is
the most wonderful time of the year. Christ was born J.
I’m glad that you are still here
with me on this journey. I’d love to
hear what the most inspirational moment was for you today. Do sound off below
and leave a comment.
Air Kisses,

I love the monochromatic look...especially when playing with different textures. And adding the printed tights, is so unexpected that it is like the finishing touch to your outfit.
By the way, I have been going back and forth about going natural again. This post has been especially inspiration as I make my decision.
i love the grey and those shoes are definitely hot.

Yaay! Glas to see you back! I totally understand your pain. My issue is catching another teacher in the hallways to take my pics. Since school started most of my blog posts come from the weekend. You look great and I can't wait to see your hair journey!

Love the monochromatic outfit! Yaay to you growing your hair out, I use the Shea Moisture Curl Smoothie also, and I just purchase the Shea moisture shampoo and conditioner as well. I will be giving those a try this weekend. Unfortunately I still don't have the courage to rock my fro to work, but I am working on it, lol.
