things I've realized

Hello divamoms & divas,
Eyes closed but I kept this to show off my smoky eye for work.

KT was wrong for snapping this pic!

As you can see from this pic, I'm running out of poses, lolol..#FAIL

Mean face but I wanted you all to see my gorgeous lashes

Shout out to the bestie for this outfit & my moms for the shoes.

1.    I’m a better mother than I sometimes give myself credit for. My son told me so on Thursday. I’m so blessed to have KT!
2.    I’m not the only one in the waiting room.  Some people are handling ‘the wait’ better than others.
3.    The mind really is a battlefield and can only be conquered with the Word of God - which contains certified promises for my life and positive thoughts.
4.    Being disconnected from Twitter & Facebook has afforded me the opportunity to be with me. I’m still learning about me and who I am and who I desire to be.
5.    I’m not too old or to saved to bump a bit of hip-hop and practice having swag in front of the mirror. Laughing at myself is really funny J.
6.    Being in the right place at the right time with the right people will afford me opportunities money, degrees and prestige can only grant others because they lack GOD’s favor.
7.    Experience is priceless!
8.    My time is valuable. I don’t plan to waste it on people or things that aren’t a part of propelling me into greatness.
I know this wasn’t deep but it was what I was thinking when I sat down to write. Some folks expect everything to be earth shattering but I’m a simple girl sometimes with simple thoughts. I’m a seriously analytical individual which isn’t always a positive trait! Instead, I just gave you another brief glimpse of the real me.

I’d love to hear about your latest realization. Head on over to the comment button and share.

Happy Saturday,

First of all, LOVE the outfit! And, I like what you said about not wasting time on people who won't help propel you into greatness. That's a fabulous quote.

I enjoyed reading these things you've realized. They were very inspiring. I too am trying to learn how to better connect with myself by spending less time on social networks and eliminating dead weight (or relationships with those who aren't helping me to progress)from my life.

Kudos to you for being such a great mommy and being bold enough to still bump your hip-hop and check your swag in the mirror!

Lovely pics. You are just as beautiful and vibrant in person. You are truly a blessing.
Hebrews 12vs1-2 has allowed me to refocus with the faith require to endure this race. I have had to remove myself from social scenes & relationships. I have learned most of what we do or who we are with isn't a sin but a weight. God only gave 10 commandments! KEYSHA

Great post! Love your outfit and I like how the blazer added a different look. My latest realization is that it's time for me to stop feeding so much of my energy into things that don't make me happy. I have recently started to ween myself away from "the book of faces" as well. It can definitely steal a lot of your time.

I love that you are always so open on your blog! Makes me feel good to realize that their are other strong women out that are always working to better themselves.

I have realized that I can not save everyone and not everyone wants to be saved. This is hard for me because I am a genuinely loving person and it is in my nature to open up to others and help when I can. However, not everyone is ready for me or my blessings I bring, their loss.

I have also realized that I don't have to be "Ms. Perfect Patty" I can make mistakes! I put too much pressure on myself sometimes.

Oh and I don't always need to say what I think, lol.

Love the outfit, you really wear maxi dresses/skits well.

Thanks to each of you for your lovely comments. I try to be carefully open and honest here. I never want anyone who stops by to think life is perfect or that all I am is a nice outfit. When I share & you all share your own experiences here I am uplifted. XoXo!
