Blog Challenge Day 4 of 30: My Sister Friend

Meet Q. I've known her since kindergarten. Yes, that long. People always seem to be shocked by this info. She's my sister from another mother. We have so much history together. We've weathered storms but basked in sunshine more than we've sheltered each other during rainy days. Friendships from our own respective friendships have developed & evolved with no competition. NOTE: Don't believe the hype that all black women are catty. There's so much I could say but Q's such a private person. Since she's reading this I do want her to know that I admire the woman she's become. I appreciate the shoulder. I am jealous of her being a chemist. You need to taste her Purple Passion signature drink! I'm looking forward to our next birthday celebration (we were born 6 days apart same year). I cherish her & am grateful for all the memories.

Tears! If anyone walks by my office, it's my allergies! :) But I appreciate you more than you will ever know. You are beautiful inside and out and keep me inspired and motivated with your love for God and life and I will forever be here cheering you on and celebrating you! Love ya!

Well...I don't have anyone that I have been friends with since Kindergarten! But, one friend I meet in 10th grade & another during my Freshman year of college drastically impacted my life in Godly ways. The first friend Cheryl walked with such confidence not arrogance even though peers teased often about her ears. I suffered from severe acne and was skinny, and extremely shy. She definitely taught unless you love flaws in others and yourself...you will never truly be able to love. Also being respected was better than be like...we all desire both to be respected and liked. If you can't have both, chose respect! Tiffany who I met in college was so honesty... Cheryl was also. Tiffany helped confirm that truth and mercy comes from God. She always believed in sharing the truth but often reminded me to share the truth the way I would like other to share it with me (mercy)!

Tears is right! This is so sweet and although my friendship with her is far different from yours I completely understand your love for her. AND one of the best things Q has given me is my friendship with you! Gotta love her... and you too... and the "purple passion" that I cannot wait to enjoy one day soon!

Old friends who understand you when you haven't even said a word are true blessings. I am so glad that you have someone like Q in your life!

Hugs from yet another sister of yours!
