Blog Challenge Day 8 of 30: A Song to Match My Mood + the Church Girl

There’s something about an old school jam that makes the idea of falling in love a brilliant one. I’m such a hopeless romantic and won’t ever stop believing that GOD has designed someone for the kid and I. When he finds me I’m going to wrap my arms around him and sing this song.

Until then I’m going to keep enjoying the journey. Yesterday I wore this to church. I’ve worn this skirt before here.  It’s one of those items that can be remixed over and over.  My one concern with this look is I wasn’t sure I got the shoes right. What do you think?

P. S. I'm rocking Revlon's Va Va Violet topped with Afrobella's All My Purple Life from the MAC Blogger's collection. You can read about it here. Any suggestions for a lighter purple lipstick so I can get that purple lollipop look?

Poses 2,4 and 5 are my favorite.. In 2 it says Yes my future is so bright....in pose 4 it says.. Order my steps lord.. and in 5 the sun is my place of peace.. It allows the spirit of God to pour on my blessing ....Love you...

I love this post soooooo much! 5 years ago I divorced after being married for 20 years. I have 4 kids and never imagined that I would get married again until after they were already out of school. (3 of them were teens when we divorced) I just KNEW there was someone on this planet that would love me and that I already loved. I would drive to the gym in the morning and hear a song on the radio (love song) and I would already say thank you for the man that that song is meant for. I would just verbally say, "Thank you for the man that is for me. He's on this planet already and the love is already there. I just don't know his name yet. And thank you that he loves my kids and considers them a bonus!" I got remarried 2 years ago this coming October. I really never saw it coming! He's even MORE than I had ever imagined AND now I have a beautiful stepdaughter and my husband tells me often how much my four kids and I have brought into his life. Your man is here.....breathing on this planet. And the love you two share is already there, you just haven't met yet. Your post just struck such a chord with me. Thanks!!! ~Serene

You are so beautiful, and it's beautiful to know that YOU know that the right one is out there for you.

I love this Toni Braxton song...so appropriate. After reading the entire post, I then thought of Michael Buble's "Haven't Met You Yet".

Thanks folks. What I like about this skirt is I can wear it casual or dressy. I do hate matchy matchy so the shoes were the different but not far fetched addition. Michael Buble has one beautiful voice. I'm really in awe of the pics my 12 yo takes of me :0)
