I Am My Mother's Daughter

I’ve been thrifting again. Ok, so I go thrifting weekly even if I don’t find anything. This look is two weeks old. My intent was to post the pics when my photographer took them but the holidays showed up with other events to record and I never put them up.
Frown lines in my forehead BE GONE!

Why is my right foot slipping? O-o

I found everything except the shoes and handbag thrifting. The shoes are from Forever 21 and the little purse (better name for it?) is a Target find a few years back. I’m sharing it because when I showed the dress to my mom she went into this excited spill about an old dress in navy blue she once had that was the exact same dress. Can you believe that?

I have an Aunt who spent a lot of time sewing before her family grew into a husband, three kids and a grandson that always said there is nothing new in fashion. Things come and go. I think it is true to a certain extent. Funny how I like the old things again but remember when some of the things I frowned upon and often times thought why is my mom forcing me to wear this ugly thing J.

Truth is, I really like this look! The belt was ify for me and I still don't think I like it on the dress much but I received a bundle of compliments at church so that makes it a winner! I’d love to hear what you think?
Please ignore the acne (Major sad face!).
My favorite sparkle to the look was finding these earrings  for $2. They were the inspiration for combining all the colors I did in the winter. Yes, we all know South Florida doesn't have seasons and I can wear anything year round. Enjoy! My mom did. Afterall, I am my mother’s daughter.
How about that yellow truck in the neighborhood (:

Love it!! I also love to go "thrifting". Not many people share my interest so I'm happy to see someone who does! You have made a great find and the ensemble looks fantastic on you! *toodles*

You look great! I agree also about there not being anything new in fashion. Much of today's trendy looks are inspired by previous looks decades ago. So yea...

I am in LOVE with the belt and the shoes! I love all things pink. LOL. Great finds girl. Maybe I should go thrifting, but I don't think I'll be as good at it as you are. Any tips?

I love the way you dress. You have a beautiful wardrobe. Those shoes are differently on point. I think you would like a pair of sophisticated edge peep-toe wedge heels or The Peep-toe mini wedge heels for a low price of $19.99 eac, they can be deliver straight to your door steps, if you order here: youravon.com/teliahhaywood. happy shopping!!! Avon is another way to shop if you love bargains..

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. I've always enjoyed dressing up. Was voted best dressed for senior superlatives (ohh walk down memory lane). It makes me feel powerful (in a good way). I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Who wants to go thrifting? =)
